Armenian Inter-Communal Committee of Philadelphia

AMCC is an active member of the Armenian Inter-Communal Committee of Philadelphia. The Committee consists of clergy and three lay representatives from each of the five Armenian churches in the Philadelphia region and the principal of the Armenian Sisters Academy. The Committee organizes three annual events: a Vartanantz Commemoration, a Genocide Commemoration, and an Armenian Cultural Program.

Vartanantz Commemoration

The Vartanantz Commemoration is held annually on the Thursday before Ash Wednesday at one of the Philadelphia Armenian churches, usually at 7:30 p.m.

Cultural Month Program

The Cultural Program is held annually in October at one of the Philadelphia Armenian churches.

Armenian Heritage Walk (AHW)

Khoren Der Harootian’s Young Meher statue anchors the beautiful space of the Armenian Heritage Walk, which is located next to the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
